Where to Find Your EasyWorship Song Database
Whether you're backing up, moving to a new computer, or migrating to different software, everything starts with locating the folder where EasyWorship keeps your songs. It's easier than it sounds: your entire library lives in one folder.
EasyWorship 6.1 and 7 (most churches)
Modern EasyWorship versions store their data under the Public Documents folder on Windows. The default profile location is typically:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Softouch\EasyWorship\Default\v6.1\Databases\Data
Inside that Data folder you'll see a set of database files. The ones that matter for your song library are the song databases (files such as Songs.db and SongWords.db), which hold your titles, lyrics, and song metadata.
EasyWorship 2009 and older
Older versions store data in a similar Softouch folder under Public Documents (or "All Users" documents on very old Windows versions), without the v6.1 subfolder. The song database is a .db file there as well. If you're on 2009 or older, expect the folder layout to differ slightly; searching your drive for Softouch is the quickest way to find it.
How to back it up (do this before anything else)
- Close EasyWorship completely.
- Navigate to the
Databasesfolder shown above. - Copy the entire folder (not just single files) to a USB drive or cloud storage.
- Name the copy something dated, like
EW-backup-2026-07.
What you can do with it
With that folder copied, you can restore your library onto a new computer, import it into OpenLP for free, or send it to a conversion service to get a ProPresenter-ready bundle.
